Abstract
A child with intelectual disability tends to experience some constraint in some aspects, such as: knowledge, understanding, and application. As a result, those abilities constraints, a child with intelectual disability tend to experience a difficulty, when he or she receives the learning, including the learning in Self- building which is still low or inadequate. Cause factors included: 1) a child with intelectual disability usually has learns with lecture method which is possible to make them in saturation. 2) when teaching, a teacher need to pay attention about conditions of a child with intelectual disability so that he or she has more motivation, and 3) a child with dumb tends to interest for media use. A formulation of this research how: 1) to build the attractive experience and 2) to build the impressive experience by the teacher to increase the cognitive ability.Finding on a child with intelectual disability in SLB Gugus XIII, Bandung city was the low of learning – teaching activities results in Self-building aspect. Based on data obtained of learning results development through observation, documentation, and interview, the teacher has carried out practice directly Display media included evaluation on Self-building in the class. As results included: 1) a child with intelectual disability has experienced an optimal results change in Self-building learning, 2) a child with intelectual disability became common in using Display Media, 3) a child with intelectual disability known the process of Self-building learning with using of Display media. As a conclusion was that after Display media was used, knowledge ability, understanding, and application by a child with intelectual disability in Self-building learning in SLB Gugus XIII Bandung city was more increased.
